Three new trim levels and new features deserve a new name. The Toyota Yaris iA has been renamed for 2019 and will now simply be called Yaris. New features and a new look provide updated style while maintaining the value that Yaris is known for having.

The base trim level for the 2019 Toyota Yaris is the L. The L is equipped with a 1.5 liter in-line 4-cylinder engine and a standard 6-speed manual transmission, but there is a 6-speed automatic transmission available. The Yaris L has seating for five people in the interior that features sporty contoured seats. There is a standard infotainment system that includes Bluetooth connectivity and Sirius XM radio. Additionally, the L is equipped with standard safety features like the Low-Speed Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Stability Control, ABS brakes with Brake Assist and electronic traction control.

A step up from the L trim is the LE trim package. The LE is also equipped with the 1.5 liter in-line 4-cylinder engine. Two transmission options are available: a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The LE comes standard with a rear lip spoiler to provide an additional sporty design feature. An additional external feature on the LE is LED turn signal indicators that are integrated into the outside mirrors.

The top trim level of the 2019 Toyota Yaris sedan is the XLE. The XLE provides a more luxurious interior with leatherette seats that feature contrasting stitching. The XLE features standard heated exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. Also standard are LED headlights that give the Yaris improved aesthetic features and give the driver improved sight at night. The XLE is equipped with the 1.5 liter in-line 4-cylinder engine like the other models, but this model comes standard with the 6-speed automatic transmission.

All three trim packages come with Toyota’s warranty program. The whole vehicle is covered for three years or 36,000 miles. The powertrain is covered for five years or 60,000 miles. There is anti-corrosion coverage for five years and unlimited miles. Additionally there is a three year/36,000 mile paint warranty and two years of Roadside Assistance.
